Have owned several Yorkville stands over the years and have been completely satisfied.
However, this current version is disappointing. The safety clasp that keeps the guitar in place was misaligned and would not close. Ended up exchanging it for another hoping I had received a defective one. Brought the second one home, it was a little better with the clasp, but still some misalignment with the clasp and requires 2 handed effort to open and close which is not ideal as there is potential risk of toppling the guitar when doing this. Older versions that I've owned open and close like butter which is what I had hoped for.

This is currently my favorite single instrument stand. The things I like about it include it's stability relative to others I've tried, the way it carries the weight of the instrument by supporting it underneath (including those with offset bodies such as Fender Jazz basses), the rubberized padding formulated to protect nitro-cellulose finishes and the captive guard on the neck yoke to secure the instrument to the stand when closed.
Almost double the price of the similar Fender stand, in my view it's much better value as it does most things better. I outlined this in more detail in my review of the Fender model. I have no qualms about recommending this model to friends.

Pretty good for the price I paid (half this online) but would like more back angle for holding the instrument as it seems a bit upright and somewhat tippy. It would also be nice for this price if the top holder folded down for ease of packing, like the less expensive models.

Tilts back more then most stands. Not likely to tip forward. Perfect for corners or against a wall.
